The Western Isles neighborhood is like a village on the edge of the historical city center. Four hundred years ago it was the first expansion of Amsterdam. The Haarlemmerplein with a supermarket and organic market on Wednesdays is only 150 meters away. The famous shopping street Haarlemmerdijk is a 200 meter walk, the lively Jordaan with its bars and restaurants 500 meters, Central Station is a 15 minute walk or a short bus ride. The Anne Frank House is 1.5 km away and Dam Square is 2 km away.
