Walk back up the bridle path and you are immediately standing across the river from the facilities of Ironbridge with its many traditional pubs, village shops and local tourist attractions and of course, a stroll across the Iron Bridge itself to get there. Renowned for being home to the world's first iron bridge (built 1777-1779), this village offers an array of shops, pubs, restaurants and museums. Nearby are the towns of Shrewsbury, Ludlow, Bridgnorth and Much Wenlock.
