It is an ideal holiday base for exploring the stunning coastline nearby as well as the Cheviot hills. Alnwick Castle and Gardens are 6 miles. Boat trips to Coquet Island from Amble only 2 miles. Local golf course ½ mile. Train station 3 miles for day trips to Newcastle, Edinburgh and beyond. A local bus service runs on a regular more local journeys.
