For a day by the sea, head to Aberystwyth (6.5 miles), which has two lovely beaches, a pier, a harbour and castle ruins, and a cliff railway. It also has a steam railway heading inland to Devil’s Bridge (8 miles), which offers spectacular countryside walks.
The cottage has been thoughtfully designed with a contemporary yet characterful feel, creating a cosy and relaxing space to switch off from everyday life. A short flight of external steps leads down from the street and along a short path to the sunny courtyard garden. The front door leads directly into the spacious, beautifully designed and sympathetically updated open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with whitewashed ceiling beams and stylish tiling. At the heart of the room there’s a dining table perfect for romantic meals which you can cook in the generous, thoughtfully arranged and fully equipped kitchen. When it’s time to turn in for the night, head through to the light and airy bedroom with a lovely king-size bed and ample storage space. The accommodation is rounded off with an elegantly decorated bathroom with a shower over a deep corner bath.
Step outside and you’ll find a private, enclosed garden and a hot tub – the perfect place to unwind after a day exploring the Welsh countryside.
