Positive: Perfectly sized accommodation for two, with everything we needed. We had no problems parking on the main street within a few doors of the property. St Bees is within easy reach of both the coast and the westernmost fells. For groceries, there is a convenience store across the road and several supermarkets in Whitehaven (10 minutes drive away). It was easy to collect the keys from a lockbox.

Negative: The lighting in the kitchen is terrible (very little light over the sink/left hand side of cooker), which made cooking dinner a bit of an effort! This wouldn't be an issue in summer. Also, the living room is quite cold even with the heating on, due to the age and layout of the property.
