The cosy lounge has a wood burner, beamed ceiling and comfortable seating, leading across to a beautifully arranged kitchen, with a sociable dining area at the far end, providing a great space for enjoying family feasts. The cottage also offers two spacious, colourful bedrooms: one with a king-size bed and one with twin beds, each with a refreshing en-suite shower room. From the main living area, doors open out onto a raised decked terrace with outdoor furniture looking out across a charming lawn garden set within the 8-acre grounds of the owner’s home, providing a lovely spot to sit back in the evenings with a glass or two of wine.
Haughley has a friendly village pub, a beautiful Grade I-listed church and the remains of the foundations of a motte and bailey castle. The thriving towns of Stowmarket (4.5 miles) and Bury St Edmunds (13.5 miles) are within easy reach, with other attractions including the Food Museum, the Mid-Suffolk Light Railway and Baylham House Rare Breeds Farm all within 13 miles.
