A perfect cottage for up to four and ideal for couples, with a good sized living area and a wood burner to cosy up in front of on those cooler evenings. Addycombe Cottage was originally built for workers from Lord Armstrong’s Estate in the 1870’s, and the exact cottages can also be seen on the Cragside House Estate nearby.
Rothbury is a small historic market town with a village square and pretty riverside with something to offer for all age groups. Walking and cycling is popular here as the town is known as the capital of Coquetdale, surrounded by the Simonside Hills and on the edge of the National Park area. The stunning Cragside House is a wonderful National Trust property with stunning gardens and well worth a day out. The energetic may like to walk, but there is ample parking should you wish to drive.
