Bustling market towns can be found at Easingwold, Malton and Helmsley, and there are numerous picturesque villages with traditional country inns serving generous Yorkshire hospitality and real ales. The ancient city of York is just a 20-minute drive away and appeals to all ages, with historic buildings and museums, river boat trips and street entertainers. Easily accessible are the North York Moors, with the famous steam train and miles of sandy beaches at the popular seaside resorts of Scarborough, Whitby and Filey.
