Houghton village centre is just 17 minutes’ walk and the closest public house is 7 minutes’ walk away.
Houghton and Wyton are served by a village shop and post office, tea rooms, antiques shop and a gallery. National Trust owned Houghton Mill is an 18th-century water mill and is well worth a visit. When the mill is running, you can get a real insight into how this fascinating historic building operated. As well as walks around the grounds, canoeing, cycling and a tea room are also available.
The attractive and historic market town of St Ives, which sits on the River Great Ouse, is just 2½ miles away, and has lots of eateries, shops and interesting places to visit.
