Summary: We had a lovely stay in this house. I'd read reviews that criticised the cleanliness of it, and I wonder why some people like to moan. (To get good cleaners in the Lake District is not the easiest thing.) We liked the house and garden. It was good that the owner had left everything we might need, washing up liquid, paper towels, numerous toilet rolls (of good quality), as well as cooking equipment etc. My son and I had fun lighting the log burner stove with the wood provided. The house is close enough to Keswick and Penrith. We thoroughly enjoyed out stay. Thank you.
