This charming stone cottage is set within the heart of the estate adjoining the main country house, where guests are free to explore the riverbanks of the River Usk and wild meadows. Access to the cottage is via the gated courtyard. The rear door offers access to the kitchen, a beautifully designed and well-equipped space offering everything you may need for preparing meals for friends and family. From here, a small hallway leads to a generously sized dining room with picture windows overlooking the estate grounds. A table and chairs for six is perfect for catching up over a hearty meal, whilst the larger body of the hallway includes a ground-floor shower room with a WC and a staircase to the first floor. For relaxing, there’s a large lounge with comfortable corner sofa that sits in front of a wood burner, and there is a Smart TV for entertainment along with a selection of books and board games. Upstairs, there’s a generously sized landing with comfortable seating, and guests have the choice of three bedrooms and a home office. The master suite has dual-aspect windows with views onto the estate and tennis courts, and a generously sized king-size bed perfect for a peaceful night's rest. Then there’s a king-size room enjoying views across the grounds and a twin room with 2’6” beds that are suitable for children. A home office room provides a suitable space for anyone needing to work from home and a family bathroom with a bath and WC finishes the interior.
Outside, to the rear of the cottage is an enclosed garden with a table and chairs and a charcoal BBQ. Here, guests can relax and listen to the constant babble of the brook that sits at the bottom of the garden. Guests will also have access to a stretch of the River Usk for wild swimming and free fly fishing (guests to supply their own rod licence), an all-weather tennis court and a wild meadow walk. Guests can also take a tour of the house and gardens by arrangement with the owner.
