To one side you’ll notice sliding glass doors which lead to a dining room/conservatory, which is full of natural light and has a picnic-style table for everyone to sit and eat together. There’s a kitchen, compact and nicely equipped for making meals and picnics. The final shared space is the family shower room, with a shower, sink and WC. This cottage has three bedrooms: a double, a king-size and a twin room with bunk beds. Each is simply decorated with wooden touches: restful for a good night’s sleep. The rear of the property is a garden, enclosed by a wooden fence, and set up with a table, chairs, and a BBQ for sunny afternoons.
Combe Martin is a lovely little village which really springs to life in the summer. There are plenty of pubs, cafes and fish and chip shops around, and you’ll be just over 0.5 miles from the sandy beach. For quick dips, you’ll be about 50 metres from the River Umber. Head 1.5 miles inland to visit Combe Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, a zoo with botanical gardens, a fossil museum and animal experiences, including the opportunity to swim with sealions!
