There’s a cafe and shop, and dogs on lead are welcome. Explore the beautiful exotic garden at the National Trust’s Glendurgan (15 miles). The 200-year-old wooded grounds with magnificent sub-tropical plants lead down to the lovely Helford River and house an impressive maze. Further afield, the excellent National Maritime Museum in Falmouth (19 miles) offers fun for all ages.
