This charming cottage sits in a peaceful village location, with the Tarka Trail being within walking distance and many of the region’s most popular attractions within easy reach. The wonderful gardens at RHS Rosemoor are just a short drive away (7 miles), as is the town of Bideford (14 miles) with its attractive cobbled streets and working harbour. For many, a trip to Devon would be incomplete without a day or two spent at the seaside, and the expansive beach at Westward Ho! offers golden sands, swimming, surfing and stunning sunsets, just 17 miles away. Younger guests will love a trip to The Big Sheep, or can burn off some energy cycling or walking on the nearby Tarka Trail, or at Northam Burrows Country Park which is ideal for scenic walks amongst the dunes. The pretty village of Appledore is a lovely place to spend an afternoon or head to ever-popular Instow and enjoy an ice cream, all of which are within 17 miles.
Step through the porch to the private entrance door. Once inside, you’ll be met with the welcoming living room which has a TV, DVD player and inviting sofas, ideal for a movie night after a day spent exploring. From here, French doors lead outside to the enclosed patio. Next to the living room is the spacious kitchen/diner with all you need to prepare family meals, as well as a handy utility room, perfect for leaving muddy boots and coats. A back door from the utility area also leads out to the enclosed patio. Completing the ground floor is a handy separate WC. The staircase rises from the living room to the first floor, where you can choose from three individually decorated bedrooms - a spacious king-size, a pretty double and a bunk room. The bedrooms share the bathroom, which completes the accommodation and is fitted with a shower over bath and WC.
Heading outside, you’ll find a split-level garden, with a lovely enclosed patio area immediately beside the cottage - this is the perfect spot for a BBQ or sundowner. The large enclosed lawn area is accessed via a few steps and is a lovely area for a game of catch, badminton, or perhaps a picnic lunch. Parking for two cars is at the front of the property.
