Pinfold Cottage retains all of the barn’s original charm and character, with oak beams and an oak floor in the living area, and slate floors in the kitchen/dining room. There is also a large gas coal-effect fire set within a brick inglenook fireplace, surrounded by large settees where you can relax and unwind after a busy day exploring York. The kitchen has a country feel and has been handcrafted from old pine and equipped to a very good standard. Upstairs there is a bedroom with a double bed, a room with twin beds, and a room with a bunk bed, offering a mixture of accommodation for either a family gathering or a group of friends on a weekend away. The house bathroom is well appointed, and has a shower over the bath. To the rear of the property is an enclosed private garden with a barbecue, accessed through French doors from the living room. You can enjoy al fresco dining here on warm summer evenings, or sit out in the communal courtyard to the front of the property, which has a lovely lawned area and picnic bench-style seating.
