The grand drawing room at first floor level has French doors opening onto the balcony and is the perfect spot to sit and watch the myriad of boats bobbing in the water or sailing by at high tide. There is also a small kennel for a dog in the courtyard.
Instow is an unspoilt seaside village with large stretches of sandy beaches and dunes, fishermen’s cottages, shops and a good selection of pubs and restaurants specialising in locally caught seafood whilst the local village store and delicatessen is a delight. The area is a must for watersports, sailing enthusiasts and fishermen, whilst walkers and cyclists will enjoy the famous Tarka Trail which passes close by.

Summary: We had a wonderful stay at this property. Instow is a great location with a lovely beach and view of the estuary. We took our bikes and spent most of the week cycling on the amazing Tarka Trail. The house is very unfussy and great for dogs. My mum has mobility problems and found the stairs a bit tricky getting to the bathroom, but it was okay. We loved the house and it was perfect for us with two tweens.
