It is in an ideal location, just 2 miles from Bournemouth International Airport, but not located within the flight path. Enjoy the nearby Ferndown, Stour and Forest Trail, and Stour Valley Way. A great location for golf lovers, with two popular golf courses nearby - an 18-hole championship course and a Par 3, 6-hole Academy Course, with a putting and chipping green and ten bay covered driving ranges. Culinary experiences are also available available on request, by direct arrangement with the owner.
Further afield are many coastal and inland footpaths, including the Dorset Coastal Path where you can enjoy the UNESCO Jurassic Heritage coastline. The local area has two popular parks, Avon Heath Country Park and Moors Valley Country Park. The nearest traffic-free cycle paths are in Hurn Forest and the Castleman Trail. There are also many trails all over the New Forest National Park, where wild ponies roam freely among miles of heathland. There are many other places of interest to visit within the area, such as the village of Burley, Exbury Gardens, and Beaulieu Motor Museum. Regular ferries to the Isle of Wight depart from the famous royal yachting town of Lymington.
Bournemouth Beach is close by, being just 6 miles away. At the foot of the pier is the fascinating Oceanarium where the whole family can discover life beneath the waves. Poole and Poole Quay Harbour are within easy reach, which boasts the second largest natural harbour in the world. From here you can take the ferry to Sandbanks or Brownsea Island Nature Reserve (National Trust) with its red squirrels, or even visit the Channel Islands of Guernsey and Jersey. Beach 6 miles. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant 1¼ miles.
