Excellent local walking and cycling, golf, castles and gardens, and the Welshpool - Llanfair Caereinion Steam Railway nearby. The thriving village of Berriew has some attractive black and white cottages, two pubs and shops, tennis courts, and Andrew Logan Museum of Sculpture.
