Travel Purpose: business

Positive: Well appointed cottage though no oven, however an air fryer is provided as is a 2-ring portable hob. Owners very pleasant and helpful. Bed comfortable, but no terrestrial TV, only digital which when you are somewhere for just a couple of nights is a pain, you don't want to have to set up accounts etc. That said, we managed as we were mostly out anyway. Decor was very good

Negative: The area behind the cottage was messy (lawn uncut and rubbish strewn) so could do with tidying, levelling, and some outside chairs provided. The rear door didn't open (stuck) which could have been a safety hazard, and the bathroom door also was stuck and had to be left slightly ajar. The Internet cable was through the rear window which couldn't be shut, which seemed really odd. Heating wasn't quite correctly set, but we sorted that, along with a slightly-overflowing toilet; though the seat is slightly loose too. Whilst we were there, a "neighbour" said the cottage had been sold and they were expecting new residents imminently, which seemed rather odd. I'd definitely check with the owners before booking.

Summary: Despite minor shortcomings, we would stay again due to convenience of location and level of comfort
