Situated right in the heart of Mevagissey, yet a peaceful haven at the end of a busy day spent exploring all the surrounding area has to offer. Should you choose to eat in, the fully fitted kitchen has everything you need to rustle up a family meal, with plenty of dining space. Relax afterwards in the lounge area with plenty to occupy the family. Smart TV, DVD, board games, or maybe a stroll around the harbour and watch the fishermen return home with their wares or try to land your own catch off the outer harbour whilst watching the sun go down. The stunning village of Mevagissey will transport you back in time and immerse you in the wonder of true Cornish tradition. It is the 2nd largest working fishing harbour in Cornwall with around 30 boats licenced to trade out of the harbour. Take to the sea yourself and join fellow guests on a large choice of fishing trips; Visit the aquarium and museum and learn about the local history of land and sea or for thrill seekers, enjoy a speedboat trip around the bays. Amid the cobble streets you will discover boutique shops, restaurants and bars and with plenty of seating around the harbour, a must is fish and chips whilst watching the world go by. The Eden Project is 21 mins by car (9 miles) and further along the coast is the beautiful town of Fowey 30 mins by car (13 miles). Alternatively why not take the Ferry to Fowey from Mevagissey harbour! and hopefully spot the odd dolphin or two! Local sandy beaches and coves are abundant, the nearest being Portmellon, a few minutes drive away. Pentewan Sands is a similar distance with great watersport facilities/restaurant/bar. Discover the North Coast and the magnificent Fistral Beach at Newquay is just a 45 minute drive (22 miles). We live locally and can impart some little gems for you to explore.
