Summary: Wonderful stay at this nice hotel. We arrived New Year's Eve and were offered traditional Oliebollen which was a nice touch. The hotel has a nice clean, modern and upmarket feel to it, with friendly and helpful staff on hand. Rooms were nicely appointed, spacious with a very comfortable bed and range of pillows. Blackout curtains and soundproofing of rooms was certainly very noticeable. Location is quiet, in an affluent area of Amsterdam and a short walk to Museumplein and into the centre, or catch trams 5 and 14 from nearby Gerrit van der Veenstraat. The only minor points: for a deluxe room, the wardrobes and storage for clothing were quite minimal. Large wardrobes but with no shelving or drawers which seemed like the space was wasted and not best utilised. Also, the water pressure in the shower could've been better.
