Positive: Absolutely beautiful and well kept. It says shared kitchen but there are two seperate ones connected with a shower in the middle. Personal toilet which was a must for me when looking, so it was perfect. The fire place is well equipped with complimentary wood that they were willing to refill. Everything was tidy and clean and so warm and comfy and we didn’t need anything extra. We thought it would be cold inside but the heat really stayed in. The stars were completely visible. Even if the location was in the middle of no where it offered so much peace. The pond was beautiful and so were the views. Staff were lovely. We turned up late but was greeted when we left the cabin the next morning by a man who was ready to tend to anything we needed. We didn’t do the animal feeding but the animals seem so well kept I’m sure it would’ve been lovely. We saw a shooting star; it’ll be a fond memory with us forever.
Negative: I wish there was more warning about the state of the roads. My car is a little Toyota aygo and not equipped which I knew when I booked, but the roads are atrocious, two-way but one car wide with lots of blind bends, potholes and hills so be careful. When we turned up late, it’s understandable no one was there, but we did have to park and walk around to find ourselves where we should park (but it was sign posted). We stayed in foxglove. We thought the door wouldn’t lock but it needs to be pulled up and slammed around a little bit for the locks to go in. The shop was a little scary and full of bugs but if you need some nice meats or don’t want to drive 30 minutes over rocky hills to the nearest McDonald’s if you run out it’s great.
