Shepherds Spring Cottages are located in the delightful grounds of an 18th Century manor house, situated between the historic medieval town of Fordingbridge and the village of Godshill.
The Cottage spaciously sleeps 5 people across 1 Double bedroom, 1 Twin room and 1 Single room across 2 floors and has an Upstairs Shower/ WC Room and Downstairs Bath/ WC room. The Kitchen area has a gas hob, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer, and fridge-freezer and utensils. The kitchen flows directly into the comfortable dining/living room which has everything you need to make yourself at home; a 5 seater dining table, lounge area with large sofa, armchair, flat screen TV and DVD player.
Downstairs includes a bathroom with bath, over bath shower, WC and shaver point and Bedroom 1 which as a large double bed. On the first floor is Bedroom 2 with twin single beds into eaves and Bedroom 3 with one single bed into eaves, as well as a shower room with shower cubicle, basin & WC. On the landing is a storage cupboard with hanging rails, hoover, iron, ironing board, and airer.
Outside the cottage is an enclosed shingled sitting area. In addition, there is a secluded grassed BBQ garden with picnic tables. Ample off road parking. Your stay includes Bed linen, electricity, gas central heating and WiFi.

Summary: The host didn’t send details of how to access the property, once we arrived we had to wait an hour and a half to get through to the host as the manager was on maternity leave. The door to the cottage we had booked (number 1) was open, so I wondered if the door had been left open for our arrival as we weren’t able to contact the manager directly or through VRBO, so I entered to only find another group was staying in the property. We were eventually given the code to get into number 2, which although a very similar property had different furniture as to what was shown in the pictures. The biggest issue being an awful sofa which was hard and very uncomfortable. We booked the stay quite last minute, as my wife had recently been in hospital for a serious cardiac issue. The stress upon arrival was very unwelcome. It’s a real shame as the property has a lot going for it - set in a beautiful area. The BBQ and picnic area is lovely and the property is pet friendly. Unfortunately due to the issues we had we wouldn’t stay again and feel the price was far too high considering the furniture in the property.
