Summary: Best thing about this hotel is the breakfast ! We arrived to find there is no physical reception , you ring a number on the intercom and then all of the instructions are sent to you . The first time I rang there was no answer . The rooms are in different blocks it wasn’t clear initially . To get into the building you have to get your front door key out of a key pad system . Probably sounds like no big deal but if it’s not what you’re expecting it’s not clear . The room itself was ok , generally clean although the mugs were sticky and dusty and the shower tray had seen better days , This hotel is on the high street so there is the noise from the bars and a fair amount of traffic up and down . There is parking out the front but all the bays were full so we used the free car park over the road . Breakfast was lovely and it’s clearly a popular spot with the locals , and the staff in the breakfast area were really helpful . There is a quirkiness to this hotel it’s just a shame there were a few things that let it down
