Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Self-catering, so we took essentials with us, as we knew we'd be arriving after dark (total three hrs delay on M4 and M25!) Host provided tea, ground coffee etc. We shot the heating up, on arrival, as the weather was freezing cold. Well-equipped small flat with super - comfy bed. Lovely large velvet sofa to watch TV on - most streaming channels, but no live TV. Surprisingly quiet at night, so we slept well. (Belvedere is a steep road up from the centre, beware if you've just had a knee op, like me! ) About a 10 min walk to Waitrose and nearest car park. 15 min walk into centre eg Bath Abbey etc, tho several buses stop outside the flat. Eg 231 Overall, a nice place to stay, tho we'd go in Spring next time..

Negative: No toaster, so we tried to figure out the high-tech NEFF cooker, in order to warm/toast breakfast flatbreads, muffins etc. Managed it by second day We noticed a deep crack in the bathroom sink, caused we reckon, by someone dropping the heavy soap dispenser, located on the shelf above. For safety, we swapped that one with the plastic soap bottle in the kitchen. We had a bit of a struggle, on arrival, in the freezing dark, to enter the correct code into the keys box, padlocked to a railing at ground floor level outside. .
