There are plenty of picturesque walks locally and the area is the perfect base to explore Cumbria, the North Lakes, and Solway Coast; all of which are less than an hour's drive from the Cottage. Historic Carlisle is a 20-minute drive, ideal for a day of shopping, dining out, or exploring the Tullie Museum and Carlisle Castle.
The cosy cottage with hot tub is situated in the pretty surroundings of the Trout Fishing Park and looks out over the lake. An ideal location for keen fly fishers, families or couples looking for an "away from it all" escape. There is a children's play area on site and giant games as well as a Fairy Trail and animals to pet. You may even catch your first fish!

Summary: We had a fab week at mill cottage. We were there for the fly fishing. But the cottage had everything we needed for a week away. We had some beautiful weather too, which we took full advantage of in the suntrap of a garden.
