Our house is part of the quintessentially English village of East Lavant, Chichester, complete with church and pub, and the beautiful rolling Sussex countryside surrounds us. This is the perfect UK summer spot. The village is situated at the heart of the Goodwood estate, where we are handily placed for the various car and horse-racing summer events. Further afield, the huge, sandy West Wittering beach is a short drive away. The area is ideal for road and hill cycling (there are miles of beautiful tracks). You can also explore historic Chichester, visit Arundel Castle nearby, or just lounge in our pretty, flowering garden.
The family house is colourful and friendly inside, with 2 comfy receptions (containing 2 TVs, wi-fi, games and stacks of books, games and DVDs) and a big open-plan kitchen with sofa and eating area. From here there are French windows which lead onto the garden. Upstairs there are 2 double rooms (both with kingsize beds) and 2 singles. There is a family bathroom upstairs, and a shower room downstairs.There is off-street parking for 2 cars, and a small garage with a selection of bikes for your use.
Out in the garden we have table tennis, a decked area near the house with dining facilities for 8, flower beds, a vegetable plot and a greenhouse. Also, hidden away, a top garden with uninterrupted views towards the South Downs. Up here there is a further seating arrangement, and a beautiful Indian tent for working or relaxing in.
East Lavant is a charming Sussex village with many houses built in the flint / brick combination typical of the area. We have 2 award winning pubs within a mile of us.
