A hidden private 10-acre estate, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Drakestone House offers exclusive use as standard and sleeps up to 27 people. Soak in the surroundings, take your time and you, your family, and friends will fall in love with the privacy of everything that Drakestone House offers – making it the most wonderful Cotswold self-catering accommodation in Gloucestershire. With impressive countryside views for over 30 miles, Drakestone House has stood on the edge of Stinchcombe since 1911. It’s one of the last country houses to be built before the start of WW1. Reflecting the influence of the Arts and Crafts movement throughout the house it boasts stunning period features, one of the most fabulous Cotswold Yew gardens designed over 100 years ago, and stunning countryside views.
The main reception room has a homely wood burner and children’s chairs sit side-by-side with generously sized comfy sofas. There are bookcases stacked with books and there is a playroom with board games, and a baby grand piano. There is also a pretty garden room to sit and relax in. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering including a Rangemaster induction double oven. All bedrooms are of high quality with breathtaking views of the Cotswolds, perfect for long walks, dogs most welcome, gas BBQ, and eating area.
