Summary: Pleasant house and location, although the décor is somewhat tired. Good cleaning, although when bathmat and kitchen towel were not provided, response was to 'please use a bath towel' rather than provide us with missing items. Stay spoilt by building work ongoing next door exterior, resulting in being unable to sit outside for 3 days while builders 'joined us' on overlooking scaffolding. Not the fault of owners or Sykes, but their collective reaction of 'sorry, not our fault' (and also intimating not their problem) was really unhelpful and upsetting. Nice neighbour gave us a bottle of wine and apparently that makes up for having to stay indoors/leave the property for 3 days. Will not use Sykes again.
