Positive: The Hotel is fine. The staff awesome and the location perfect. It is located close to the center. Actually the whole city looks like a huge center and Lyon is just beautiful. I have read a lot of comments about the neighborhood not being safe or something, but all due respect to the other guests ...not even close. It is just a multicultural area but in a good way, the whole area is beautiful and the streets are clean. It takes some time for a stranger to get used to the way you need to use the public transportation, but when you do so, then you find out it is not that complicated and you can move easily from point to point. The only problem with the city, if you're a Mediterranean (...or a Latino) trust me, is the food. The people here eat really early! They live in a different way, but of course we have to adapt to their lifestyle, we are the visitors. But that has nothing to do with the Hotel. Also, the Hotel must have been a classy one, like 30 years ago, but still looks nice. The room was clean and really warm. The bathroom was renovated and comfortable. The breakfast could be a 5 star hotel breakfast, also very good. I am a receptionist myself and I can tell it's worth it. It's a descent place to stay and the price is fair. Thank you!
