Summary: Location was excellent for walks, Castleton centre, pubs & restaurants. The cottage is very small but fine for two people & a dog. The log burner is great but no wood or matches are provided. The little kitchen area has everything you need although there isn’t any space for prepping food. The stairs are very steep. The bed is extremely comfortable & we slept really well. Both the bedroom & bathroom are great, although there is a step up to the shower which is quite precarious. The cottage was extremely clean. There is an area to sit outside but it is on the general thoroughfare so not private. You can park outside for unloading & then get a free parking pass for the car park, which isn’t far away Overall we had a great stay but we felt it needed a few little extras to give it full marks
