The Minster Cathedral and Palace gardens are en route and the perfect place for a picnic in the grounds - check out their line up of entertainment this summer at Theatre, Music and concerts some of which invite you to bring a picnic to enjoy whilst being entertained In the opposite direction you’ll find beautiful scenery of endless open countryside!

Summary: We had a lovely 3 night mini break at Lavender cottage. An absolutely gorgeous little place and Rebecca the owner goes that extra mile to ensure you have all you need including welcome hamper and plenty on line advice should you need it! We had friends join us for a night who book high end holiday lets and they were very impressed so thats recommendation enough! There is on site parking but you would need a very small car however unrestricted street parking is plentiful. Southwell a beautiful unspoilt town with plenty to keep you occupied. If you want to venture further afield there is an excellent bus service you can literally ditch the car! All in all a wonderful stay!
