Positive: We got to stay in the lovely Lavender Retreat for 1 night and 1 night in the Pine Lodge. Firstly - Lavender Retreat is a beautiful, quaint little Shepherds Hut - great for 2 people and lovely and cosy. Never been in one before and was surprised at how you are able to fit everything you need into a hut. We loved it. Everything was clean and wonderful and the hosts were exceptional - warm, friendly and literally go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The shower was clean and spacious - though the hot water doesn't last forever due to it being for a Shepherds Hut so it is expected and adequate enough for what you need. Hot Tub was brilliant and a lovely treat! Yes there are rules but this place is in a rural place for peace and tranquility so I don't think it's over the top to ensure it's closed down for 10pm. It's not a party place. Things I personally think would elevate it even more: some extra crockery such as a couple of side plates and maybe an extra pan. Cooker is suitable for use but difficult to cook on as you can't have different temps on the hobs so I think maybe an upgrade but we made great use of it :-) Perhaps some little shampoo and conditioner though we bought our own anyway :-) Just some extra plastic glasses maybe too. I think something on the path from the hut to the hot tub as we forgot our sliders so was a little hard to walk to - an outdoor rug maybe. I think also some screening for a little more privacy and maybe a retractable cover or pagoda just so you can enjoy in all weathers and a new bulb for the light. Nothing spoilt our stay thats just my personal preferences :-) Pine Lodge was wonderful. Great facilities and a beautiful hot rainfall shower. The amenities within are perfect for larger families and the cleanliness of both this and Lavender were fab.
