Positive: The Belgian countryside is beautiful! The house was easy to access and had a very spacious kitchen with ample amenities. Both indoor and outdoor dining spaces offered a beautiful view. Plenty of space in the bedrooms and living spaces, so much for children to explore. Owners were responsive to any small issues. Standing fans in each bedroom were much appreciated and necessary.

Negative: We happened to be there on a few hot days, this house definitely warms up in the hot sun. Opening bedroom windows allowed for cool air in the evenings, but also several mosquitoes, the dining area had screens but not the upstairs bedrooms. The flowers and landscaping are beautiful, but overgrown in a lot of places making mobility difficult. The neighboring farm happened to be spreading manure on arrival day and unfortunately opted to do noisy farm work late at night.

Summary: Large house with lots of amenities provided a great home base to explore the region.
