Positive: The location was lovely and right next door to a decent pub with good food and on Sunday had live entertainment and a BBQ. The lodge itself was comfortable clean and the hot tub was lovely and warm. Nice area to sit outside overlooking the lake.

Negative: Generally the site is a bit tired looking and in need of some TLC. The grass area around the lake could do with a general tidy up and more flowers in tubs or baskets would look more aesthetic. The cabins looked dirty and grubby from outside as you walked past and things like grubby windows and cobwebs all over the outside make it look shabby. I was also disappointed as after 3 nights our towels and toilet roll wasn't replenished. It's a good job we took our own towels to use especially using the hot tub every day and the shower. No way would one towel and a small hand towel be enough. I would advise you take your own and extra loo roll.

Summary: A pleasant stay but could do better considering the cost.
