It is a cabin for two: pared back and considered, with a king sized bed surrounded by views of nature, underfloor heating, air conditioning, rainfall shower in the ensuite and a small kitchenette for unhurried light meals.

The wood-fired hot tub takes a few hours to come up to temperature, and that is the point, it asks you to slow down, to potter, to fire up the barbecue and let the evening arrive on its own time. Steam rises as you settle in under a wide sky; the sauna and cold shower complete the contrast. Sleep comes deep and easy here. In the morning coffee in hand, with only birdsong outside.
