Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: We booked this location because it is very easy to get into town by bus. We thought it was easy to get to Anfield as well but the nearest bus stop is a good walk away and the buses ended up being delayed by hours.

Negative: This property is incredibly basic and uninviting. It isn’t worth the money and the company running it are incredibly useless and constantly messaged asking for more money for stupid things. Here were our issues for our 4 night stay: - No wifi (there’s an Openreach box present, so I assume the lack of internet is purely for money skimping) - three small hand towels in the entire place which had to be shared between two people. the shower is rusted, we were only able to use the top shower head as the handheld was stuck in place - No tea towels for the kitchen and no instructions for the cooker - Incredibly cheap and uncomfortable sofa. After buying a sim card to be able to watch movies, we struggled to actually enjoy sitting in the living room. - The mattress was so thin and low to the ground it was difficult to sleep on because you could feel the slats of the bed base. The pillows might as well have been non-existent for how thin they were, and two of the four had no covers on them. The duvet cover was ill-fitting and just constantly twisted. - No aircon or complimentary fan. I get this isn’t required, but it was a heatwave, and the only air we could get in the place was by opening the balcony doors, which meant we were constantly hearing the construction noises of the building site directly opposite. - The house manual is for a completely different property and lacks vital information. When we were leaving, we followed the instructions and went through the parking garage to dispose of things. Nowhere in the house manual does it mention that the only door to the place locks behind you and you need either a code or a fob to get out. I rang the company, who were completely useless and told me to look in the manual and try codes that were for the front door and the lock box. I was then told that security didn’t start work until 12pm (this was just after 10am, when we were told to check out) and that they would have to phone me back. I’m still waiting on that call.
