The sandy Trebarwith Strand beach is within a short drive, as are the surfing beaches at Bude and Polzeath. Close at hand lies Tintagel, swathed in the legend of King Arthur, as well as several stately homes and renowned gardens, or the wide open space of Bodmin Moor, famous for its granite tors and Daphne Du Maurier’s Jamaica Inn.
