Positive: Very convenient location for us to break our journey from Hertfordshire to Scotland. Conveniently located right next to the A1 but peaceful rooms, as they face away from the road., with a view over countryside towards Bamburgh Castle and (at night) Farne Isles lighthouse. Very comfortable rooms and beds, very clean, good food and friendly and helpful staff. Have stayed 3 or 4 times and hopefully will stay again.

Negative: Nothing. The immediate setting of the hotel is a little off putting but once inside it is fine. Happy to stay again.

Summary: Very pleasant and convenient place to stay.
