It´s a great jumping off point for exploring the city because, being this close to both Vauxhall and Ovals station, you´ll have the whole city at your fingertips! The living area is bright and homey, the perfect place to hang out in. There's an elegant and comfy sofa and a refined tea table, the ideal combination to enjoy a proper English cup of tea. Sit back and relax! The cream-painted room is a lovely place to unwind after a long day with a nice book or good conversation. Next to this room is a gleaming light-grey kitchen with modern, built-in appliances which make rustling up a delicious meal here a breeze. Enjoy your dinners at the dining table back in the lounge area. The bedroom is large and welcoming with a comfortable king-size bed outfitted with fine hotel-quality linens. Piled high with cushions and pillows, you´ll enjoy comfortable nights here. There´s a vintage chic chest of drawers and a capacious wardrobe giving you space to unpack your belongings so you can feel right at home. Sight-seeing is on your doorstep! The Chelsea Physic Garden and Lambeth Palace Gardens as well as the Imperial War Museum are all within walking distance or a short bus ride away. Visit Vauxhall City Farm for a cute animal encounter and New Covent Garden Flower Market (confusingly not in Covent Garden) for fresh flowers and delicious produce. When it comes to great food and drink in the area, Caminetto is a local Italian restaurant with a cosy atmosphere and authentic food. For a proper English pub, head to The Canton Arms. They have a huge selection of draught beers and a fun, buzzing vibe. There is a strong Portuguese community in Vauxhall and the family-run Casa Madeira restaurant offers delicious Portuguese cuisine at reasonable prices. For comfort food, the brilliant Dirty Burger, has recently opened up a Vauxhall branch serving delicious, greasy hamburgers. For an evening drink, try The Black Dog or the more traditional Royal Vauxhall Tavern, both of which offer a good selection of beers on tap. Recommended cafes: - Italo cafe. Walk through the public gardens with the gate on Harleyford Road, through a little hidden arch in the wall and into a beautiful Italianate square where you'll find Italo cafe. Great for a coffee, drink or brunch / lunch. - Daebek. For delicious, local Korean food, walk up Durham street and opposite you to the right is Daebek Korean food. - For a more upmarket meal and / or cocktails, go to local Brunswick house. - Tea House Theatre is great for brunch. - A trendy coffee shop and bar nearby is Cable Cafe, which sometimes has live music. Transit If you travel from Heathrow Airport, take the Piccadilly Line to Green Park and change for the Victoria Line, southbound service. The tube stations Oval and Vauxhall are both within 10 minutes walk. There's also Vauxhall bus station with Stop A, including bus 2 and 36 that run towards the city centre. Also a 10-minute walk! If you are travelling in a group of four people or more, an Uber or Gett taxi from any airport may work out cheaper than public transport. Citymapper is highly recommended for help getting around!
