Positive: The staff were absolutely lovely: warm, friendly, and helpful. The room was cosy, spotless, and well equipped, with an incredibly comfortable bed and even hot chocolate provided. Breakfasts were delicious and served with genuine care and a smile.

Negative: I was just unlucky that the guest next door turned out to be an action-movie enthusiast with a taste for late-night explosions, but that’s hardly the B&B’s fault. The walls are what they are in these houses.

Summary: A warm, comfortable stay with lovely people, great breakfasts, and a touch of homey charm.
