Positive: Pleasant property with good sized rooms, private parking and a very comfy super king bed in the master. We slept very well! Small but well appointed kitchen. It was dog friendly. The welcome basket of locally sourced food and drink items was appreciated as was fresh milk in the fridge and the Northumbrian magazine also. Top tip, walk round towards Budle Bay campsite and find napco wood fired pizzas. Preorder pizzas to guarantee availability, they are delicious so highly recommended! Very relaxing to also sit there with a drink from napco in an evening given it’s otherwise a quiet location.

Negative: General maintenance and upkeep needs attention. Several of the lounge wall & ceiling lights don’t work, however free standing lamps were provided which were workable if not ideal. The oven door doesn’t close properly, and although the main living space is clean, the property could do with a deep clean to tackle cobwebs in high corners etc. The manual instructions could do with an update/refresh. And the courtyard garden needs clipped and tidied. ( I did tidy the lovely pots of geraniums and water them, as they looked very sad on arrival, pleased to say they perked up with TLC over our week long stay)

Summary: Pleasant stay in a nice property, however with maintenance could be improved further.
