Summary: This is my second stay at the Buchanan and this time I brought my son and daughter in law for a 3 night break and their dog Otis. What an amazing place. The lodge was immaculate throughout and of a very high standard. The hot tub was an added bonus especially since it was the warmest weekend of the year!! On arrival a bag of goodies was waiting for us in the kitchen. This included tea ,coffee, jam, shortbread and a delicious iced loaf. What a start to a great weekend!! We had a trip to the lovely town of Melrose and also visited the beautiful beach at Bamburgh which is certainly worth a visit. There is now a small shop and cafe on site which serves very nice coffee and cake. The owners are very friendly and helpful. A special thanks to Damien who organised a small paddling pool for Otis to cool him down in the heatwave. We will certainly be back and hope to see you all again in the not too distant future.
