The quiet village of Wookey, nestled between the Mendip Hills and Somerset Levels is just two miles from the cathedral city of Wells. The Milking Parlour is an attractive, single storey, detached cottage, carefully converted using local materials. Lots of lovely original features remain including wooden beams, colourful 200 year old roof tiles and stone drinking troughs - now transformed into interesting plant holders. Inside, the lofty lounge, with high raftered ceiling is flooded with light from the full height windows which run the length of the room. The kitchen/diner opens onto the sunny patio at the side of the property, overlooking the owners' orchard, the backdrop to which is the stunning Mendip Hills. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms, one a wet room, complete the living accommodation. Converted from a further barn, the neighbouring games room with table tennis and table football is great fun for all ages.
