Summary: As a female travelling alone on business the room I was allocated wasn’t suitable as simply didn’t feel safe. It backed on to a dark courtyard off the car park, felt isolated and the door to the room felt rickety. There was literally a flimsy door between a dark courtyard and my bed. I asked to be moved, and a helpful female member of staff gave me the keys to another room within a locked building, which felt a lot safer. However, upon entering the bathroom I found two brown splodges of ‘something’ on the floor. I didn’t touch them but they could have been removed when cleaning. The shower was also unsatisfactory as water only came out of the centre third of the head - making it very hard to wash long hair. Additionally I found the male staff in the bar to be inappropriate. I ordered a glass of wine and paid, but was surprised to discover it was almost £16! When I asked why it was so expensive (I hadn’t asked for anything specific or special!) he said if I ordered another later on he’d give me ‘local prices.’ When I left to go back to my room, it seemed as though another member of staff shouted my name. I turned around & asked why and the one who shouted disappeared but another just sniggered. Terrible experience. Will never come back.
