Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: It was really quiet (apart from the birds and wildlife) away from other houses but didn't feel isolated which meant it was very peaceful. We lucked in with the weather so we could use the swimming pool every day - not bad for mid May! Everything felt luxurious. We liked the lighting - very fancy. It was great we could choose from loads of TV channels which was nice for our parents to keep in touch with the news. There are so many ways in and out the house and different rooms. The glass structure meant there were views across the garden to the fields - we saw deer, hares and alpacas. Really very lovely.

Negative: No lock on the shower/bathroom door. My dad (90) doesn't like a toilet without a washbasin. I don't think the stairs would be good for small children. My father would have liked a handrail all the way down the stairs. The steps down into the pool are quite tricky for older people and the floors are quite slippy in the wet rooms.

Summary: Absolutley loved our stay in Belgium and I've already passed on the details to friends and family
