The town s beach is a little way around the coast from the town itself but it is easily reached within a thirty-minute walk or a short drive. This splendid strip of sand is the perfect example of a fine English beach lined by colourful beach huts and backed by shady pine trees. The beach is part of the Holkham Estate and it is possible to walk around to the iconic sands of Holkham Bay at low tide or perhaps head inland and explore the amazing 25 000 acres of land which belong to the beautiful Palladian mansion Holkham Hall.
