This property is surrounded by farmland with stunning views of the countryside, great for families and groups looking for a rural getaway. The Farmhouse lies in a heritage county just outside Whitchurch, a busy village, with a thriving local shop and cafe, an Indian restaurant and several nearby pubs and restaurants. The next nearest town is Monmouth, an historical town just 6 miles from the farmhouse where you will find two golf courses, shops, several churches, an historic independently-owned cinema, an ancient medieval covered bridge and the popular Nelson Museum. There is also a castle, near to the place where Henry V was born. The farm is also set on the edge of the beautiful Wye Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and the Forest of Dean is very close by with walking, cycling, climbing, castle trails and many other activities. The property is set down a private lane and is detached. There are grounds surrounding the property which guests can enjoy as well as an orchard to the front of the property.

Summary: Overall this was a good stay, rooms were nice and clean and there was plenty of space for 10 adults to stay. However, both ovens failed to heat properly which made cooking a bit of a pain. Check in process was not great, only being able to arrive between 5-6, the owner did not respond to any prior messages. Despite this, the local area was stunning, and the house was fit for purpose and good value considering the price of other locations in the area for a group this size.
