Summary: Overall, I enjoyed my stay. This is a seriously no-frills place, but friendly and, for the most part, comfortable. Don't pack heavy - there aren't any bureaus to unpack into. Furnishings are sparse. My main complaints: I understand that in the 1940's when the motel was built people didn't have electric hair dryers so there were no original plugs in the bathroom, but pulling a discreet plug now would not affect the authenticity of the place. After all, they didn't have TV's or satellite either. Fantastic shower head but a shower curtain that is so flimsy that it blows uncontrollably in the wind created by the shower. A few weights on the bottom of the curtain would solve that problem and be period appropriate. Bed was comfy, room was immaculate, lots of food and shops within 2 blocks walking. Extremely dog-friendly area and lots of good grassy spots to walk.
