Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Great location. Super access to historic centre and restaurants. We booked this venue because my husband was in a race (there was nothing else in our price range in Frome). We were advised in advance that it is a karaoke and live music venue and to be fair the music did not disturb us. We were granted an 11 am checkout but unfortunately this wasn’t long enough for my husband to shower after completing the half marathon - we appreciated the effort though.

Negative: Based on other reviews we were expecting the rooms to be cramped, noisy and dirty. We were actually pleasantly surprised as it was spacious, there was a fan and initially it looked clean. We were also given a dog bed However the plughole was full of hair, the sink was grubby and the shower surround was cracked There was also some sort of damp device that had mouldy pellets in it. We had come prepared and despite our experience it was better than expected.

Summary: Great location, needs a deep clean.
